19 of Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev won his maiden title for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid year, managing just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in specific - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Presently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from March of that year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and regular outbursts on the tennis court had prompted commentators to question if his ability to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved service.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden professional victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
He defended four initial chances in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
